Isabela Mayor Joselito Malabor yesterday revealed several high-profile figures were sent invitations to the upcoming Isabela town fiesta, set to take place from April 15 to 21.

Among those invited include Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio; former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who currently served as Pampanga second district congresswoman; along with members of the Marcos family, including Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos and former Senator Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.

In a phone patch interview yesterday, the mayor said he is currently waiting for confirmation.

Malabor pointed out he invited Macapagal-Arroyo in order to recognize her efforts in the construction of the town’s socio-cultural center.

“The budget came from her,” he explained.

The former president’s husband, Atty. Mike Arroyo, has roots in Isabela and currently has landholdings in the municipality./DGB, WDJ
