Two suspected thieves were arrested after burglarizing a residence early Sunday morning at Hacienda Nilo Lizares in Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspects as 27-year-old Freddie Romano and 24-year-old Alfie Pajaron, both residents of the said barangay.

Talisay City police said the suspects broke into the home of 31-year-old Charlene Tabiera.

Once inside, the suspects took the victim’s four mobile phones, with a combined value of P28,000.

The suspects then boarded their tricycle; however, the vehicle’s plate number was identified by the victim, which led to their arrest.

Police recovered the stolen items, as well as the motorcycle they used as a getaway vehicle.

Both are facing theft charges./DGB, WDJ
