Based on data from the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), the number of theft cases in the city dropped from 70 percent compared to the same period last year.
The office recorded a total six cases between March 16 and 22, a drop from the 20 recorded in the prior year.
ICPO also noted a drop in index crime, which include murder, homicide, physical injury and rape, and crimes against property.
They reported a total of 16 incidents in the ascribed period, down from 37 in 2017.
