P1M worth of fertilizer turned over to Bago City farmers’ groups

The Department of Agriculture-Region VI recently turned over P1 million worth of fertilizer to various Bago City farmers’ groups during turnover rites in the city’s Barangay Mailum.

Over 1,000 bags of organic and synthetic fertilizers were distributed to the Ilijan Integrated Farmers Association, the Rafael Salas Integrated Coffee Farmers Association, the Mailum Organic Village Association, the Friends of the Highlands Agrarian Reform Cooperative, the Makalang Perez Farmer Workers Association, and the Sandungao Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries MPC.

City Agriculturist Carlito Indencia gave an overview of the coffee technology demonstration project and informed recipients they will undergo a series of seminars on how to use the said farming materials./WDJ
