‘Paindis-indis sa Binalaybay’ to highlight creativity

The Paindis-indis sa Binalaybay competition, which is a composition in verse, characterized by a highly developed artistic form, with the use of heightened language and rhythm to express an intensely imaginative interpretation of the subject, will highlight creativity and excellence in artistic ability.

The competition, a part of the annual Panaad sa Negros Festival, is scheduled to take place on April 17 at 5:00 p.m. at the Panaad Stadium.

Contest piece must be in Hiligaynon or Cebuano, depending on the dialect of the town or city, with words structured in the “Ilonggo Binalaybay form,” where each stanza contains four lines where two or all lines must end in rhyme.

Participants will be judged on delivery, content, overall impact, and suitability.

First prize will receive P10,000, P7,000 for second, and P5,000 for third./WDJ
