A husband and wife died, while two others were injured, in an early morning vehicular accident in Mandurriao, Iloilo City Thursday.

Mandurriao police identified the victims as Ramon and Rosalyn Sampani.

The husband and wife were onboard the ambulance of the municipality of San Miguel when the ambulance collided with a Chevrolet SUV past 4:30 a.m. along the Circumferential Road that runs along Mandurriao district.

The SUV was overtaking a pick-up truck when it collided with the ambulance coming from the other direction.

Ramon was supposed to be undergoing dialysis treatment in a hospital in Iloilo City with his wife as his caretaker.

The driver of the ambulance and the SUV were also injured and are currently recuperating in another hospital./WDJ
