After an earlier meeting between Bacolod City Councilor Dindo Ramos and tournament commissioner Israel Salanga, where it was determined the second Congressman Greg Gasataya Basketball Cup will begin in April at the STI-West Negros University gym, Ramos recently specified the competition would begin on April 14.

Meanwhile, Salanga confirmed the deadline for submissions expired last Wednesday, March 21, where nearly all barangays, with the exception of Banago, that participated in last year’s open category will return for this year’s tournament.

The competition will be divided into 17-under and open divisions.

It was previously reported, all teams will receive free uniforms and P5,000 in financial assistance./JSG, WDJ
