A man was seriously wounded after he was stabbed twice while drinking at Purok Masinadyahon in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City, late Sunday evening.

Police identified the victim as 35-year-old Joemarie Batangas, a resident of Hacienda Gusa in Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

According to Batangas’ statement to Police Station 3 (PS3), he was drinking with friends, along with the suspect, when he was stabbed following a misunderstanding.

The victim sustained two stab wounds and was immediately brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) for treatment.

PS3 are presently conducting a manhunt operation against the suspect, whom they refused to name pending his arrest./DGB, WDJ
