‘More spectacular’ festival dance competition promised
With the annual Panaad sa Negros Festival scheduled to celebrate its 25th anniversary next month, organizers are promising a “more spectacular” festival dance competition, which depicts the festivals of every Negros Occidental local government unit.
Among local festivals often presented include La Castellana’s Bailes de Luces, La Carlota City’s Pasalamat, Kabankalan City’s Udyakan, San Enrique’s Bulang-bulang, Cadiz City’s Dinagsa, San Carlos City’s Pintaflores, Bago City’s Babaylan, Escalante City’s Manlambus, Sagay City’s Sinigayan, Cauayan’s Lubay-lubay, Victorias City’s Kadalag-an, Ilog’s Kisi-kisi, Himamaylan’s Himaya-an, and Murcia’s Tinabuay.
Performances will take place on the Panaad Stage, featuring between 20 and 50 members per group.
The competition will be judged on choreography, performance, theme and concept, and production design./WDJ
