Monsignor Louie Galbines yesterday credited “God’s love” for his recent appointment by Pope Francis as Diocese of Kabankalan bishop.
In a radio interview yesterday morning, Galbines said he was aware of the appointment since last week and stated he is “afraid” of the responsibilities he faces.
Galbines also credited “God’s love” for strengthening his conviction in acquiring new responsibilities as bishop.
He noted the exact date of his installation has not yet been set as they still have to conduct discussions and complete paperwork.
However, the new bishop stated the installation might take place sometime around May or June of this year.
The 51-year-old priest is a native of Sagay City and is a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.
He was ordained as a priest with the Diocese of Bacolod in April 29, 1994.
Galbines replaces Bishop Patricio Buzon, following his appointment as Bacolod bishop back in 2016./DGB, WDJ
