A student from a public high school in Barangay Mansilingan was arrested by Police Station 7 (PS7) officers after he was caught bringing marijuana to school, Monday morning.

Police identified the suspect as 18-year-old Joseph Akot, a resident of Purok Kahirup in the said barangay.

Based on official reports by PS7, the teacher, whom they did not name, passed by the school’s gymnasium and saw Akot holding several sachets of suspected marijuana.

The teacher immediately notified police, resulting to Akot’s arrest.

Police recovered six sachets and two cigarette sticks containing suspected marijuana, a pouch, and a lighter.

Akot faces illegal drugs charges and is detained at PS7./DGB, WDJ
