Registration underway

The Sipalay City gym is set to play host for the Sipalay Chess Fest 2018 next weekend, March 24, which will feature an open tournament and a 15-and-Under rapid chess competition.

The winner of the open tournament will win a trophy, medal, and P10,000. Meanwhile, second place will win P8,000 and third place takes home P6,000. Consolation prizes will also be awarded.

In the 15-and-Under contest, the winner earns a trophy, medal, and P5,000. Consolation prizes will also be awarded in the division.

Special awards will also be given out for Best 12 year old-and-below, Best 10 year old-and-below, Best eight year old-and-below, Best Lady Performer, and Second Best Lady Performer.

The registration fee for the open tournament is P400 while the 15-and-Under competition is P200.
