160 Talisay City residents selected as DOLE-TUPAD beneficiaries

Residents of Barangays Zone 10 and Zone 16 of Talisay City were recently named beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment-Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged workers (DOLE-TUPAD) program, which provides temporary employment to disadvantaged and displaced workers.

Eighty residents each from Barangay Zone 10 and Barangay Zone 16 were selected as beneficiaries, with Ma. Victoria Diwata B. Borines of DOLE-Negros Occidental awarding checks worth P279,280 to each of the neighborhoods.

Also present at the ceremony were Talisay City Councilor RJ Tuvilla, Barangay Zone 10 Captain Resty Tuvilla, Juvenile Madrona of the City Mayor’s Office, Rowena Nicor of the Talisay City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and Barangay Zone 16 kagawads./WDJ
