At least two homes were damaged following a Friday evening fire incident at Purok Lampirong in Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

Bacolod City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) fire marshal, Fire Chief Inspector Publio Ploteña, said they received the fire call at 6:19 p.m. and managed to quell the blaze within minutes of arriving.

Based on an initial probe by BFP arson investigators, the fire started on the second floor of a house owned by 44-year-old Jonalyn Derla.

The fire damaged a large portion of the house and affected another residence as they were constructed of light materials.

BFP estimated damages at P10,000 and are still conducting investigations to determine the cause of the blaze./DGB, WDJ
