A mother was killed, while another was injured, after a truck collided with the tricycle they were riding in Sagay City, Negros Occidental, Monday afternoon.
Police identified the fatality as 42-year-old Josephine Gayola, a resident of Barangay Bandila, Toboso; while the injured was identified as 50-year-old Mila Casova, also a resident of Toboso.
Traffic investigators from Sagay City police said the victims were traveling in front of a school when a truck collided with their vehicle.
Both victims were rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City, where Gayola was declared dead on arrival due to a severe head injury.
Casova, meanwhile was treated after sustaining a fracture to her left leg and hand./DGB, WDJ
