DOH monitoring measles outbreak in Negros Oriental

The Department of Health (DOH) in Negros Oriental yesterday confirmed there is measles outbreak in the province.

In a radio interview, DOH Undersecretary Eric Domingo said they are currently monitoring cases in the province.

Among the towns and cities affected by the outbreak are Bacong, Dumaguete City, Mabinay, San Jose, Santa Catalina, Siaton, and Valencia.

Negros Oriental Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) head, Dr. Leilan Estacion, said, so far, they have not yet recorded any measles-related deaths.

She added, there is no exact number of cases, which they are currently trying to verify.
