The United States Table Tennis Association (USATT) recently revealed Bacolodnon Johnard Baldonado, currently based in Las Vegas in the US, topped their rankings among full-time hardbat players, which refers to the type of play using a classic paddle without sponge rubber.
Baldonado, who moved to the US in 2008, won the 2010 US National Table Tennis Championships in hardbat and later represented the US in the World Championship of Ping Pong.
“Right now, I’m preparing for the 19th World Veteran Championship Table Tennis Tournament this June,” he said.
Before moving to the US, Baldonado served as chief administrative officer for the Bacolod Christian College of Negros./JSG, WDJ
