Luisita Golf Club optimistic

After wrapping up their practice rounds yesterday at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club, defending Philippine Airlines (PAL) Interclub Golf Senior Tournament champions, the Luisita Golf Club, expressed optimism ahead of the competition, which begins today, March 1, and runs until March 4.

“We have a strong eight-man team and everyone is playing well,” said non-playing captain Jeric Hechanova. “We’re not concerned with Canlubang – we’re not concerned with anyone else.”

Rival team Canlubang, who lost to Luisita last year at the Apo Golf and Country Club in Davao City, acknowledged the toughness of their rivals.

“Luisita is very strong,” said Rolly Viray.

The Del Monte Golf Club is also competing in the elite championship division./JSG, WDJ
