Ceres FC meets Home United tomorrow

Ceres-Negros FC meets their opponents from last year’s AFC Cup ASEAN Zonal championship, Home United FC of Singapore, tomorrow, February 27, in the ongoing 2018 AFC Cup group stage at Singapore’s Jalan Besar Stadium.

“We know they are a strong team and we will be in for a tough challenge,” said Ceres FC team manager James Dinsay. “We have to remember that every game in the group stage is very important.”

The winner will determine an outright leader in Group E, with both clubs even on three points after beating their respective opponents; however, the Negrense club carries a massive goal differential after their 9-0 demolition of Boeung Ket Angkor FC earlier this month.

Also drawn in the group is Myanmar National League champions Shan United, whom Ceres beat in the Champions League qualifying play-offs last month./JSG, WDJ
