A three-day training for around 50 Silay City daycare workers opened yesterday at the Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City, where they will be provided guidance on providing mental stimulation, conducting wholesome recreation with a balanced program of supervised play, and group activities, all encompassed in the national government’s Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program.
The training is being held ahead of the expected construction of a center in Silay City’s Barangay Mambulac.
During yesterday’s opening rites, Vice Mayor Joedith Gallego lauded the participants’ commitment to serve children.
Also in attendance were Marie June Castro of the Local Council for the Protection of Children; Department of Education-Silay Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Neri Ann Alibuyog; among others./WDJ
