The Iloilo City Sports Division, in partnership with the Philippine Sports Commission, hosted the Children’s Games at the La Paz Plaza last weekend, where 910 children between the ages of nine and 12 took part in various activities including basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, arnis, taekwondo, palo sebo, and kadang-kadang.
“Children must learn how to choose sports as their hobby and habit,” said Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III. “The program helps them improve their physical and mental ability, and learn leadership and sportsmanship.”
Each participant was given two shirts and received a medal, balloon, and loot bag during the closing ceremonies./WDJ
