Religious groups in Negros Occidental recently signed a memorandum of agreement with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) as part of plans to provide rehabilitation services for inmates.
BJMP-Region 6 director, Jail Senior Superintendent Joel Superficial, said the agreement includes the implementation of religious activities, such as preaching, along with technological or livelihood programs.
The prisons included in the memorandum are the Metro Bacolod District Jail, including its Special Intensive Care Area and male and female dormitories; the Negros Occidental District Jail; the Talisay City District Jail; and the Silay District Jail./JJA, WDJ
