According to Integrated Provincial Health Office chief, Dr. Ric Noel Naciongayo, the drug testing facility at Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital, located in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, will be open soon.

“In the next four months our drug testing facility will already open,” he said.

The idea for a drug testing facility was introduced by the Antique Provincial Board, who noticed government employees were forced to travel to Aklan or Iloilo to conduct a drug test after private laboratories closed down after the Land Transportation Office ended the drug testing requirement for driver’s licenses.

Last year, the Antique Police Provincial Office (APPO) reported a total 1,738 drug personalities surrendered to authorities./PLL, WDJ
