A house located near the Barangay Felisa dumpsite in Bacolod City was gutted by fire yesterday morning.

In an official report by the Bacolod City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), they received a call from a barangay official saying a house owned by Jesus Estrada was ablaze, prompting firefighters to respond.

The firefighters initially encountered difficulties due to the road leading to the area being rough and muddy; however, they managed to quell the blaze within minutes of their arrival.

Arson investigators reported the likely cause was due to an electrical short circuit, with damage estimated to be between P10,000 to P15,000.

Meanwhile, no one was hurt in the incident as Estrada was at work when the fire occurred./DGB, WDJ
