At least six people were injured after a bus collided with a van at Purok Dose in Barangay Zone 1, Talisay City, yesterday afternoon.

Police identified the victims aboard the van as Jose Roccio, Jennifer Baladhay, Ramie Roccio, and Sonia Sumaria, all residents of Barangay Matab-ang in the said city; while the injured bus passengers were identified as Catherine Hinolan and Conchita Divinagracia.

Talisay City police chief, Police Superintendent Adonis Rosales, said the bus, driven by 42-year-old Jessie Demoral, was heading north when it collided with the van.

The impact wrecked the front part of the van.

The injured van passengers were rushed to the Riverside Medical Center, while the two injured bus passengers were provided first aid on the spot after incurring minor injuries.

Demoral, meanwhile, is temporarily detained by Talisay City police while the victims decide if they will press charges./DGB, WDJ
