The Don Salvador Benedicto Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is currently investigating a vehicle fire that was reported in the town’s Barangay Bunga last Sunday afternoon.

Based on information provided by municipal fire chief, Senior Fire Officer Roel Sama, the vehicle was owned by a lawyer and resident of Bacolod City, although he did not disclose the identity of the victim.

He said the victim was returning to Bacolod City when the driver claimed to have experienced engine trouble.

The vehicle later reportedly burst into flames.

Sama added, the victim managed to escape unharmed, while firefighters were able to quell the blaze within minutes of their arrival./DGB, WDJ
