A Cadiz City Hall employee was arrested last Friday afternoon in a joint buy-bust operation conducted by operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region VI (PDEA-6) and the Cadiz City Police Station at Purok Sampaguita, located in the city’s Barangay Banquerohan.

Police identified the suspect as 37-year-old Darwin Encarquez, a resident of Andrea Village in Barangay Zone 2 of the said city.

Cadiz City police said Encarquez was working as a metro aid 2 for the city.

Nine sachets of suspected shabu, a mobile phone, and one motorcycle were recovered from the operation.

Encarquez is presently detained at the Cadiz City Police Station and faces charges in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./DGB, WDJ
