The Department of Health-Region VI (DOH-6) named Iloilo City as the Most Outstanding Local Government Unit in the highly urbanized city category during the Western Visayas Local Health Systems Awards at the Punta Villa Resort in Iloilo City’s Arevalo district, yesterday.

“I would like to commend City Health Office (CHO) for doing your job well,” said Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III.

Iloilo City health officer, Dr. Bernard Caspe, said the CHO will continue to expand health services throughout the city.

“We will continue to educate the public about health awareness,” he said. “We will double the improvement of the city’s health assistance, such as prenatal, immunization, dental, and medical services, to provide the community the best health care.”/WDJ
