A magnitude 4.7 earthquake was recorded in Negros Oriental over the weekend by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
According to information released by Phivolcs, the epicenter was located in Dauin, located in the said province, with a depth of six kilometers.
Intensity 4 shaking, which has a vibration similar to a passing heavy truck, was felt in Sibulan and Dumaguete City.
Phivolcs added, they are not expecting any casualties or damage to property from the tremor, although they advised the public to expect aftershocks./DGB, WDJ
