Gasoline prices in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental increased by P2.97 per liter (L) as a result of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law.
In a report by TV Patrol-Negros, Jane Anne Almaiz, the supervisor of a gasoline station located at the Capitol-Shopping Center, said fuel prices rose after disposing of fuel acquired before December 31, 2017, which was not subject to the new tax.
The current price for diesel is P40.12/L; while unleaded gasoline is up to P50.50/L, with premium at P51.50/L.
Meanwhile, the price of liquefied petroleum gas also jumped by P4 per kilogram.
An 11-kilogram LPG unit, that once sold for between P770 to P780, now costs P798./DGB, WDJ
