Ceres FC meets Tianjin Quanjian in the play-off round on Tuesday

After Ceres-Negros FC upset A-League club Brisbane Roar, 3-2, earlier this week, the Negrense club set up a matchup in the 2018 AFC Champions League play-off round against Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian FC on Tuesday, January 30, at the Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium.

In last year’s Chinese Super League, Tianjin finished in third place, behind Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai SIPG.

If Ceres is successful and makes it into the group stage, they will be drawn into Group E with 2017 K-League champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC; 2016-2017 Hong Kong Premier League champions Kitchee SC; along with the winner of another play-off match, either Japan’s Kashiwa Reysol and Thailand’s Muangthong United FC./JSG, WDJ
