At least one person was arrested, while another managed to elude police, when they were spotted dealing drugs inside a billiard hall at Purok Paraiso in Barangay Banago, Bacolod City, yesterday morning.
Police identified the arrested suspect as 32-year-old David Imperial, a resident of Barangay Mambulac, Silay City.
Police Station 3 (PS3) commander, Police Senior Inspector Jun Ray Batadlan, said they were conducting an anti-criminality drive in the area known as “Oplan: Galugad” when they spotted Imperial and another unidentified suspect dealing drugs in plain view inside a billiard hall.
Police operatives raided the establishment and a short chase ensued, resulting in Imperial’s arrest.
His accomplice, meanwhile, managed to escape.
Police recovered five small sachets of suspected shabu from Imperial.
The suspect is presently detained at PS3 and is facing illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
