Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, yesterday revealed the verdicts on the three police officers who allegedly pawned their service arms in 2016 are set to be released next week.
Back in September 2016, BCPO filed charges before the Bacolod City Prosecutor’s Office against Police Officers 3 (PO3) Joel Gacho and Eugene Tamayo, and Senior Police Officer 1 (SPO1) Sheryl Jimena.
The three were charged for malversation of public property due to grave misconduct, along with administrative charges from the now-defunct Police Regional Office-18 (PRO-18).
The three officers were identified after a firearm owned by Gacho was found in the
possession of suspected drug syndicate Ricky Serenio.
Both Gacho and Tamayo admitted to pawning their service arms, with the former claiming he was referred by Jimena./DGB, WDJ
