Several officers of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) face 50-day suspensions after allegedly being caught sleeping while on duty last March.

BCPO spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, said six Police Station 10 cops, whom she did not identify, face the penalty.

The six officers were caught when the BCPO ‘Officer of the Day’ was making rounds and found them sleeping. The revelation launched a pre-charge investigation, which was endorsed by Police Regional Office-6, resulting in all six being found guilty of neglect of duty.

Vargas added, the six involved cops can file a motion for reconsideration, which could reverse the suspension./DGB, WDJ
