A joint operation conducted by anti-drug operatives from the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NOrPPO) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) yesterday seized around P11 million worth of shabu along Noreco Road in Barangay Mangnao, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
Police identified the suspect as 38-year-old Orson Villegas, a resident of the said barangay.
Reports released by the NOrPPO Provincial Intelligence Branch-Special Operations Group (PIB-SOG) said the buy-bust operation yielded a total 53 sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, and P24,000 worth of suspected drug money.
Villegas is presently detained at the Dumaguete City Police Station and faces charges in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./DGB, WDJ
