After previously noting 20 out of 61 Bacolod City barangays were initially participating in the ongoing Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) at the Bacolod City Government Center and warning of possible administrative charges, City Executive Assistant Samuel Montoyo yesterday revealed he will file charges against five barangay officials.
He said the non-compliant officials represent Barangays 2, 4, 16, 19, and 31.
The program, which seeks to provide faster and convenient business permit registration and renewal, expected barangay officials to be present in order for business owners to obtain barangay clearances.
Montoyo added, a complaint will also be submitted to the Office of the President, citing disobedience.
BOSS was originally supposed to end on Saturday, January 20, however, it was extended to February 28 after the Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod approved an extension of the business permit deadline to February 28./NC, WDJ
