With the deadline for the application and renewal of business permits initially scheduled for Saturday, January 20, the Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod approved an extension of the deadline, moving it to February 28.

The move came at the request of the Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MBCCI), who appealed to Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia to push the deadline back.

Business Permits and Licensing Division head Stela Rose Rayos, meanwhile, also submitted a similar request, claiming many business establishments were unable to process in time for the deadline.

The ongoing Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) at the Bacolod City Government Center, which is intended to provide faster and convenient business permit registration and renewal, was originally scheduled to end on January 20, but has also been extended to February 28./PLL, WDJ
