Iloilo City Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) head Norman Tabud urged local business owners to renew their permits early in order to avoid the expected rush as the January 20deadline approaches.

“The volume of clients is usually [higher] during the last five days before the deadline,” he explained. “We are now encouraging businessmen to renew their permits earlier to avoid hassle.”

As of last week, BPLO reported around 35 percent of registered businesses have already renewed their permits.

The city is currently operating a one-stop shop, similar to the ongoing Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) at the Bacolod City Government Center./PLL, WDJ
