The Department of Tourism-Region VI (DOT-6) expressed confidence they will be able to reach their goal of 5.75 million tourist visits to the region in 2018.

In a report by Bombo Radyo-Bacolod yesterday morning, DOT-6 director, Atty. Helen Catalbas, said, while they have gathered around 70 percent of reports on tourist visits in 2017, she is confident they reached their 5.5 million target.

She estimated the region saw one million foreign visitors and expects the number will rise to 1.1 million this year./JJA, WDJ
