A bystander was reportedly killed after being mauled to death by two men in Barangay Mabigo, Canlaon City, Negros Oriental.

Police identified the fatality as 22-year-old Ceddie Rama, a resident of Purok Greenhills in the said barangay.

Based on investigations by Canlaon City police, Rama was in the city’s Uptown Public Market when the suspects, identified as 23-year-old Ariel Sedoriosa and 21-year-old James Antoi, began mauling him.

The suspects immediately fled after the incident, while Rama was rushed to the city’s district hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.

Police are currently looking for Sedoriosa and Antoi and conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the motive behind the mauling./DGB, WDJ
