No casualties in Negros Oriental –PDRRMC

As of Wednesday, January 3, the Negros Oriental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reported zero casualties in the province following Tropical Depression Agaton.
“No lives, limbs, properties, and sources of livelihood in the province were affected,” noted PDRRMC Executive Officer Adrian Sedillo.
Flooding was, however, reported in Tanjay City, Bais City, Bindoy, and Guihulngan City.
Two deaths were attributed to the storm in Malabuyoc, Cebu.
Meanwhile, Capiz Governor Tony del Rosario suspended all classes last Wednesday after over 100 barangays throughout the province reported flooding.
In addition, the Capiz Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) yesterday reported zero casualties in Capiz as well.
According to the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council-Region VI (RDRRMC-6), the storm has displaced 6,107 families across Panay, mostly in the provinces of Capiz and Aklan./PLL, WDJ
