La Castellana Mayor Rhumyla Nicor-Mangilimutan said the town’s centennial celebration, which began on December 14 and is scheduled to end on Friday, January 5, has been peaceful.
She noted, local police have been conducting saturation drives, or saturation patrols, where police are concentrated in specific areas.
The mayor added, events have been going on every day throughout the town, which also included appearances by Jericho Rosales, Bamboo, and other celebrities.
The centennial queen was also crowned on New Year’s Day, where Kizza Lovelle Mangilimutan, the mayor’s daughter, was declared the winner.
Friday’s culminating activities include the Bailes de Luces arena showdown and the awarding of festival contest winners./DGB, WDJ
