The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) recently launched the “May Kwarta sa Granada,” where informants each received P1,000 for grenades turned over to law enforcement.
According to Police Senior Inspector Sheila Mae Sangrines, the program is being conducted in response to a number of grenades and other explosives discovered by local residents and construction workers over the years.
The program was initiated by the Iloilo City Advisory Council for Police Transformation and Development, which provided an initial budget of P40,000./WDJ
