A sport utility vehicle (SUV) crashed and flipped on its side yesterday morning along the Lacson-Circumferential flyover, located in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City.

Police indicated the driver of the SUV requested anonymity.

Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) head, Police Superintendent Luisito Acebuche, said, based on the driver’s statement, the SUV was heading north towards Talisay City when the SUV hit the barriers along the structure, causing it to collapse to its side.

The accident caused traffic in the area, with the northbound lane of the flyover blocked, motorists were forced to use the lower northbound lane, which is typically used by jeepneys and trucks.

Acebuche said the SUV was later removed by BTAO’s recovery vehicle and the northbound lane of the flyover was reopened to traffic./DGB, WDJ
