A man was wounded in a stabbing incident at Purok 5 in Barangay Alim, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental on Thursday evening.

The victim was identified as 44-year-old Gorio Sedicta, a resident of the said neighborhood.

According to the initial investigation by the Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station, while the victim was on his way home after securing his carabao, the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Rex Tacapan, blocked the victim in his path and stabbed him.

Sedicta was immediately brought to the hospital after sustaining wounds to his left arm and left leg.

Tacapan, who was believed to be under the influence of alcohol, was detained in the custodial facility of the Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station./NC, WDJ
