After capturing the inaugural Philippines Football League (PFL) crown and the AFC ASEAN Zonal title, Ceres-Negros FC midfielder Stephan Schröck recently spoke to CNN Philippines about the successful 2017 season.
“It’s a great achievement,” he said. “The amazing support of management, the team, and the crowd made us feel great to be a double champion.”
The midfielder also discussed his stint as coach after head coach Risto Vidaković was suspended and relegated to the bleachers during matches.
“I thought it was easy,” he said. “You are not [on] the field and you don’t feel the pressure.”
However, Schröck added, “It seems you are helpless.”
He also commended the home crowd who braved the rains of Tropical Storm Urduja during the PFL finals at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
“We are very proud to represent them,” said Schröck./JSG, WDJ
