Following the recent approval by the Negros Occidental provincial government to provide P60 million to build a new bridge in Isabela’s Barangay Camangcamang, Isabela Mayor Joselito Malabor expressed his appreciation saying the overflow bridge in the area had been damaged for years.
Provincial Board Member Alain Gatuslao affirmed he would be able to provide the funding for the structure, which is expected to be sourced from the P1.4 billion loan from the Municipal Development Fund Office.
However, in September of 2016, Gatuslao claimed a lump sum appropriation would be provided for the said structure in that year’s fourth quarter.
At the time, he said all documentation pertaining to the project was complete and had already passed through the Provincial Board.
