A 19-year old student was arrested at the La Castellana Public Plaza Friday morning on firearm possession.

The suspect was identified as Rodgemar Marcelo, a resident of Sitio Mandayao 4, Barangay Camandag in the said municipality.

According to police, Marcelo was apprehended as law enforcement was conducting Oplan Bakal/Sita, a procedure that targets criminals operating motorcycles.

Recovered from the suspect were a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver and four live units of ammunition.

The suspect and the confiscated items were brought to the custodial facility of the La Castellana Municipal Police Station./NC, WDJ
