With Christmas quickly approaching, the Iloilo City Health Office (CHO) advised holiday revelers to eat moderately, particularly with holiday favorites like lechon and hamon often served at gatherings.
“It is not prohibited to eat these kinds of food, but eat moderately,” said health officer, Dr. Bernard Caspe. “It is important to eat healthy and have a balanced diet by eating fruits, vegetable, and fish.”
He also noted those who have hypertension and diabetes.
“Commonly, their blood pressure has risen because of eating oily food,” Caspe explained. “Some are diabetic after eating too much cake and ice cream.”/WDJ
