Area 5, comprised of Himamaylan City, Moises Padilla, La Castellana, Isabela, Hinigaran, and Binalbagan, suffered defeats in the secondary girls’ volleyball and secondary boys’ football competition at the ongoing 2017 Palarong Panlalawigan.

Area 5 lost the volleyball competition in straight sets to defending champion Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA), which is bannered by Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS).

Meanwhile, Area 5 was blanked by Area 6, represented by Kabankalan City, in the secondary boys’ football competition./JSG, WDJ
